In 1991, my mom purchased her first home in Orem. That decision changed the trajectory of my life as it offered a stable environment for my family, surrounded by a great community. A while later, I graduated from Orem High School and later earned my degree from the University of Utah.
In 2005, I married my husband Damian, and together, we've been blessed with one daughter, who recently graduated from Lone Peak.
Since 2013, I've owned and successfully run a real estate business, witnessing Utah's property prices and population grow exponentially. I'm grateful this growth has brought forth many exciting opportunities for our state, while also being mindful of the challenges it's created.
My goal as a city council member would be to ensure the peoples voices are heard by our mayor and state officials — ensuring laws are enacted or amended based on the best interest of our residents, while preserving what makes Alpine unique — it's "small town" bedroom community feel.
I want to ensure to push back against pressure for HIGH DENSITY housing, over population, and over commercialization.
As any entrepreneur knows, building a business isn't easy – it requires grit, resilience, and commitment. I hope to bring the skills I've gained from running a business – i.e., organization, financial management, and strategic planning – to help Alpine continue to run smoothly and thrive.Â
I'm running for Alpine City Council because, like you, I love it here. I love how close nature feels, the beauty of our majestic surroundings, and sharing my backyard with wildlife – even when the deer snack on my garden. I enjoy working out, reading, and learning new things. I consume books, especially business reads, one of my favorites is "Shoe Dog " by Phil Knight and, I'm currently reading, Steve Jobs' biography.
I'm a person of high integrity, with a strong work ethic and a deep love for our country and our great city. I hope to earn your vote to serve Alpine with dedication and care.
